You feel an almost irresistible draw towards something, a life circumstance that beckons you with a gentle force… a benevolent power… like the Universe and the Earth within it are benevolent. You go where this loving womb takes you. Moving confidently in the uncertain, because this is knowing with the heart. It’s feeling with the whole body at once. Repause your brain, the doubting Thomas and rely on the other, lower in position, but higher in accuracy intelligence – your gut wisdom, that has been around since the origin of all existence.
It doesn’t fight orbits of an expanding cosmos, nor does it resist the elements. We are talking about an embracing, absorbing, accepting power – a profoundly feminine inertia in (by) nature, I would say.
It’s an act of inhabiting. Discovery and settling. Incorporation. Embodiment.
All this is a bewildering harmony, yet somehow, us humans alone, have grown long necks and large heads above it. We are top heavy and therefore constantly stumbling and tumbling over our own heels, seemingly in perpetuity, not having a clue why and where this dizzying performance takes us, although it does not feel right any more…
The solution – a dissolution of sort – seems to come with an elegant simplicity though: pull our necks and heads back down, be one with the flow again.
Retract our egos until they are symbio(n)tic again with the whole.
Too much sticks (far) out nowadays and, as a result, the Earth is suffering. In turn we all are suffering. It’s not meant to be this way, however, and in long run those off-shoots will be realigned, not into some mainstream, but the stream. It seems to be the irresistible law of the same protective force.
One should not confuse intuition, the expression of this more than just human power with instincts, the latter being an impulse-like part of the former. Intuition is, for instance, non-seductive, inviting in character. Sheltering, rather than exposing. So, one can see that following instincts alone, means weaving in and out the greater whole of intuition. They belong.
What doesn’t belong in experiencing intuition is the questioning of this belonging.
When we step aside of our intuition and dare turn our backs to it, as though it was something surpassed, we are in for surprises of the unpleasant kind. That’s exactly when things in our lives tend to go amiss, to not make sense, to become hotbeds of frustration.
By the way of frustration: if you ever feel frustrated, either you or some people (one, more or whole communities) around you acted against, in breach of intuition. In healing of the injury, make sure you dip back into the flow without delay.
Just how you do it, when so much has been wedged between you and your intuitive self of a largely cultural material?
Well, you’ll have to understand some of this in very literal sense and some in a figurative one.
Undress yourself: your body, your ego, until the two meet in a harmonious common form – in that moment you are realigned with the flow again, like at birth and even longer before that.
In first step, step out of your shoes, touch ground, land on the flow and pick up its vibration. Discern it’s pulses and the resulting rhythm. It will have local character differing from place to place, nonetheless always in tune with the rest of the beats. You’ll have to seek out the right kind of grounds for your innate beat. The most matching one. It may come to you with surprise that it’s not necessarily the one you were born at. Our family is a prime example to just that: the village we finally feel at home in is the birthplace of none of us. However, it feels the right place for all three of us.
Human tongue is infinitely less important than the utterances of Earth’s language. If you recognize this much more universal language as yours, your human tongue will utter the right sounds to follow suit. And it’s the language of happiness and fulfillment.
Look for the privacy that nurtures your self-realignment. Where you can hear your inner voices, where you can hear the heartbeat of the Earth without the distraction of cacophonic white noise. Here you can decompose and reconstruct. Allow the elements to come to your help. The freer your lovemaking is with them, the sooner you will find your way back, physically, spiritually and even mental hygiene-wise – back to and into the flow.
It is a process you need to process. As intensely as you feel like or don’t feel like, but are drawn to do anyway. Don’t expect dipping yourself in a one-time experience and coming out as an enlightened spirit. The flow needs time to reach the essence of your being and cleansing itself has a time aspect as well, proportionate to how far you allowed yourself to be removed from the universal flow.
Mental, emotional, material uncluttering, ridding yourself of the unnecessary is a sure facilitator in this realignment process and seems indispensable too. Depending on personal inclination, a learning curve of certain steepness in picking up ecological consciousness is also part of merging your head with your gut, your intelligence with the universal wisdom.
Your world will become increasingly animate along the way, you’ll get a bird’s eye views of yourself, you will greet rocks as your kin, and respect water bodies as your mother’s lap. Future generations will whisper their gratitude with the breezes funneling in your ears. Past and future will meet in you, with you, in a reassuring uncertainty.
