On this simple day thoughts are racing in my head, going places far and beyond possibilities of current times. We are here, but not there – the there where we desire to be. Life is rushed and slow all the same, it highly depends on how one feels in the moment.
With the fog covering the land it is a day for reflection, cuddles on the couch, eating gluten-free haggis and contemplating baking a dessert. It is a day for listening to Hungarian, enjoying coffee and unwinding on a Wednesday afternoon.
Simplicity is often about slowing down, it is about taking a break (because you need and deserve one!), it is about having time to observe and allow creativity to flow. So pick up your knitting needles, some spinning fiber or a pen because even those of us who travel mindfully through life still need a reminder every now and then.
Slow down on this simple day and observe the sheep snoozers and grazers…
Make time to enjoy the soft petals and the sharp beauty of green stems. Be grateful for sharing non-abundance.
While words are being typed a language is being learned… The day is slow, but certainly not lazy. Just relaxed, rested and enjoyed immensely. Savor those little moments in life and take refuge under the blanket of fog together.
How do you celebrate your simple days?
