If you also happen to be one of those (not too many) determined to help the Earth become a better – not better: a good place… without corrupting any more well-intentioned words… starting with and from yourself but aiming to inspire as many as many are perceptive to your inspiration… however acting with full deliberateness toward a positive impact that extends beyond yourself – I’m addressing my words to you.
By now you must have already realized that those of us who are doing our best, making the greatest efforts and ultimately, yes, reaping the benefits of a soul warming over-joy that we have done the right thing(s), so you must have noticed that we come in very different shapes, sizes, colors and vintages, perhaps even quite distinct dispositions. But all those things do not matter, because what unites us is a lot more powerful: the realization, the conviction that true, deep change in the world order, the way humanity re-identifies itself in the context of the universe, in other words the much touted paradigm shift comes from a complete makeover of one’s thinking. You can call it mentality, set of values, priorities, ethics or ethos – from our perspective now it’s all the same.
Quite obviously what I mean by new paradigm is nothing bogus, fuzzy, but it does take conscious and consequent effort from us individuals to start to understand, let alone to fully grasp – full inevitably being a relative term. Inescapably not absolute because wisdom reminds the rational to let go of its investigative prowess where the incomprehensible stretches to the infinite.
We are still left with ample room for our proud human intelligence to grow, or rather to transcend into an emotional hypersensitivity. Where rational yields to intuitive, where Mars bows to Venus and seeks advice from her to tame his vile-ent inclinations. This is perhaps a new human nature, where the feral, the savage is held at bay and accountable by benevolence, considerateness towards all, animate and inanimate, in a non-religious sense. Because this is the world of Nature and Nature outlives any religion.
Our duty (and I have described above what I mean by we) seems to be no less than help humanity re-place itself where it belongs: into nature’s more than three dimensional patterns interwoven by nature’s flows. I prefer referring to our capability of recognizing, digesting and adhering to these natural patterns, a multidimensional quilt of sort, where the patches are by no means square and they widely overlap. For those short of being textile enthusiasts and perhaps an even better reflection of the reality (the way I see it) is the image of an incredibly species rich mycelium sponge pulsating with life, and we are submersed into it.
I like to avoid the popular phrase of whole systems thinking as it sounds awfully engineered, arrogant and male dominated, so a sexist approach and language.
When we start not feeling this mycelium sponge above choking any more, but refreshing, liberating – we know we are becoming one with the whole, we are starting to breathe at its universal beat.
Once you got there, don’t let go! Wouldn’t make sense anyway. This is LIFE. Just grab on and feel your fingers, toes, all your hair strands connect to the rest of the sponge as fibrillose extensions of your being. Your pores are now threaded, too… In a very real sense of the word you have arrived. You can truly feel accomplished.
If already there, please wait for me – I’m thorough and it slows my advancement, but I’m coming, so we can spread the good together.
